Well the Mighty Nandadevi makes a perfect finish to such a wonderful trek. We had awesome weather all through, but just that the other side of the valley was a lil dizzy. No great pics of the peaks, but no complain. Did it in good time a fantastic trek overall.
Hey hey wait its aint over yet. When we reached Dhak village, with our tired body to add to troubles we realized tat theres no taxi or bus which could take us back to Joshimath. Now what do we do , hitch hiking. There i saw a army truck (shaktiman) heading towards joshimath, I asked for lift and they stopped. It was emply truck and we all sat at the back. The roads were bad and the bouncing truck destroyed the already broken body of ours.
Reached Joshimath, checked into a room had nice dinner and we slept like pigs. Nex day we got up early, took a taxi to Rishikesh, failed to find a decent bus so we headed to Dehradun. Managed a local bus, which wasnt that bad after all. We had a nice journey to Delhi. Reached Delhi ISBT at 2.00am, took a auto rikshaw bak to Gurgaon and since then i have been resting in peace.
Now, as my tradition goes, lets all thank god to gift us the mighty Himalayas that nor the new zelanders or the Aussies or the Americans have. And thanks to who ever has been patient enough to reach upto the bottom of the page.
Regards,
Tanzeem Patankar
